Free Shipping Offers
Chocolate Crisis Center will offer free shipping from time to time in special emails, circulars and/or advertisements. Unless otherwise specified, free shipping is limited to UPS Ground, Fedex Ground or USPS, at our discretion. Free shipping offers will not include expedited service such as Overnight, 2-Day, etc., unless specified in the offer. Usually, a discount code is needed to receive free shipping and will be provided in the offer.
General Shipping Policies
Nothing is more important to us than your complete satisfaction; so great care is taken and your order is hand-packed.
Chocolate is a fragile, temperature and light-sensitive food product. So shipping rates and options are calculated for two seasons during the year: cold weather shipping and warm-weather/ice season.
Generally, the cold-weather season is from Oct. 15 - April 15.
Warm-weather/ice season is April 16 - Oct.14. Due to temperature fluctuations, this time frame is a guideline and actual dates may be subject to change. During the ice season, shipping options may change for your location since Ground options are not adequate to guarantee that the product will remain intact. Your order will be packed with ice.
HOW ORDERS ARE PROCESSED: Orders received in our system Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday PRIOR TO 12:00pm PST are processed and shipped the same day unless otherwise specified. orders placed and received in our system AFTER 12:00pm PST will ship the next available shipping day.
To limit time in transit, orders are NOT shipped over the weekend. This is designed to ensure premium quality upon arrival. During busy holiday periods, orders may require additional time to process and depart from our facility
The three shipping methods we offer are: 2-DAY AIR (which is our standard method of shipping), STANDARD OVERNIGHT, and GROUND TO 1-2 DAY SHIP TIME LOCATIONS
2-Day Air Delivery: These orders ship MONDAY through WEDNESDAY ONLY and packages will arrive before 7pm the second day following the ship date. Orders received after 12:00pm PST on Wednesday will not ship until the following Monday or next available ship day. If cool temperatures allow your chocolate to be safely transported, we may choose to ship on Thursday or Friday
Please note that orders shipped via 2-Day Air on Thursday or Friday will not reach their destination until the following Monday or Tuesday (or next available delivery day) by 7pm
Standard Overnight Delivery: These orders ship MONDAY through THURSDAY ONLY and packages will arrive before 4pm the next day following the ship date. Orders received after 12:00pm PST on Thursday will not ship until the following Monday or next available ship day.
WARM WEATHER GROUND LOCATIONS: Most areas of Colorado except for Durango, Telluride and surrounding towns, and major cities and towns of Utah, Wyoming, Kansas.
